Today was the worst day I had experienced in my life. We are prone to many dangers and risks around us such as car accident, bicycle accidents, sports accident and even common accidents such as slipping and falling. Sometimes accidents are unpredictable thus accidents can be prevented if everyone plays their part to ensure that they are in a safe environment. Unfortunately, bad luck fall upon my good friend, Brian. The school bell rang as usual signaling the start of recess. Students could be seen streaming down the corridor. As Brian and I loves playing soccer, we ran down to the field as quickly as possible to occupy the field. Soon, most of my classmates came down to the field and we were all ready to start our friendly soccer match soon. Brian was assigned to be the goalkeeper and I was assigned as the defender in the same team as Brian. We started the match and everybody were all chasing after the ball. After a few rounds of kicking and running, the opposite team came close to the goalpost and was about to score. I tried my very best to block them but to no avail. All our hopes on saving the ball were pinned on Brian. As the player of the opposite team kicks the ball towards the goalpost swiftly, Brian held up his arms ready to catch the ball. The ball bounced off his hand and dropped on the ground ready to roll into the goalpost. Brian saw this and quickly dived to the ground. Right at this moment, he landed on the ground with his finger pointing towards the floor. I could hear Brian crying out loud and screaming. Tears were rolling down his puffy cheeks. I ran towards Brian and support him up from he ground. His finger was swollen red. I helped Brian to the general office. After that, Brian was asked to stay at the sick bay. I was told to leave as the staff didn't want too many people to crowd around the general office. Till now, I am still thinking about Brian's health. How is he now? Thus, from this accident, I learn that accidents may happened anytime and anywhere. We should not do dangerous stunts or acts that might yourself or even others. Brian's finger was swollen due to him diving down towards the ball. Safety first, learn to protect and care for yourself .
