We had a wonderful dinner today! We dined out at "Mr Chicken Rice", which is in Downtown Town East, for a celebration (My sister decided to treat us to dinner because she received the Edusave Merit Bursary this afternoon). Usually, we do not have dinner as a whole family because all of us would be busy with our own activities and some of us would reach home quite late. Thus, the dinner we had today was a special event. We ordered a whole chicken. Yummy, yum, yum! The chicken meat was really tender and 'Q'. It felt as though the meat was a spring and had tension, and it bounced in my mouth as I chewed on it! The tasty juice from succulent chicken meat oozed out and spilled into my mouth with each bite! I could feel the juice flowing down my throat and esophagus into my stomach! Even right now, I am still drooling as I think about the tenderness and juiciness of the chicken meat! To all lovers of chicken rice, this chicken rice is definitely a 'must try', even though I sounded quite exaggerated. Anyway, that was slightly out of point. In addition to the whole chicken that we had ordered, we also had plates of fried tofu, stir-fried vegetables and beansprouts, and a bowl of mouthwatering cabbage soup. Of course, not to forget the fragrant chicken rice. Despite describing so much about my scrumptious dinner, the main aim of my post is emphasis the point about family bonding. During the weekdays, we do not see other family members very frequently as we are either in school or at work most of the time. Even when we return home at night, we would either be too tired to engage in a conversation or busy with our homework that had to be handed up the next day. It is very difficult and rare to find an occasion where everyone is free to sit down together in a relaxed manner and talk about daily happenings. Having dinner together with the whole family is a good time for the whole family to bond and understand each other better, especially when all of us have hectic schedules. Even though there are special occasions like Lunar New Year's Eve, for our family members to dine together on the same table and catch up with the past, these occasions only occur rarely. During the conversation that we at dinner today, I got to know about what my sister did during her school camp, what my brother did during his attachment and what my mother did at home when everyone was out. It was an enjoyable meal, a special moment that we all share. I really hope that everyone would treasure every single dining moment or family gatherings with their family members. TREASURE ALL THE SPECIAL MOMENTS YOU HAVE WITH YOUR FAMILY!
